Prairie Women’s Sewing Circle

Saturday morning was so much fun–we now have twenty-nine members of the Prairie Women’s Sewing Circle!  I can’t wait to see the first “Show & Tells” next month and see how many of the Prairie Women use their “Make Do” piece of fabric.  If you missed the meeting, your pattern for the first quilt is behind the front counter with your name on it and I hope we see you on August 21 at 11am.  Holler if you have any questions.    ~~Pam

New Beginning Quiltmaking Graduates!

We just finished the July Beginning Quiltmaking Class and so many of the students decided to make their quilt samplers much larger!  Felicia decided to maker hers into a queen sized quilt!  (I think the “Quilt Bug” bit them…don’t you?)

Here are some of their projects.  We had a great time!!

July Strip Club!

We had a terrific turn out at Saturday’s Strip Club meeting!  Wonderful show and tells…here are some pics!

We had several new quilters from my most recent Beginning Quiltmaking Class show up and and they were surely inspired!  I’ll show you some of their projects in the next blog.  They sure were a fun group!

We even had our first visit from Gianna, Mark and Linda Towle’s grand daughter (Gianna’s Mommy came too!)  Here is our youngest “stripper”!  I’m sure her Gramma and Grampa will make a quilter out of her!

Pattern "Perfect Ten" Strip Club Project, sewn by Max Brewer.

Our Strip Club meets on the next to the last Saturday of each month at 9am.  It’s open to any one and the projects are suitable for beginners on up.  It’s a great way to make a quilt a month and have a year’s worth of gifts ready by the Holidays.  Everyone is welcome so plan to come to the next meeting on August 21 at 9 am.  It’s a “mystery quilt” in a way.  The fabrics for the August project are pink, blue and purple batiks!  Deadline for reserving August’s kit is August 2.
