Inspiration

19 Sep

I just wanted to say “thank you,” again to all the people who complimented my work on the Strip Club quilt today. I had so much fun making it and I’m glad everyone enjoyed it. I’m truly in gratitude of the wonderful responses. If I had been told years ago that I would be not only making quilts but designing and appliquéing my own patterns, I would have thought you were joking.

I wanted to talk a little bit about the quilting bug and how deeply it has burrowed into who I am. As I told Rose Ann just a couple weeks ago, I love working at this shop and I love all the staff and customers I feel so privileged to work with on a near-daily basis. When I started this job, however, I knew nothing of quilting and had very little knowledge or practical application sewing (save a couple of impromptu Halloween costumes here and there). The time I’ve spent here has taught me so very much not only about quilting, but about friendship, about helping others, about helping myself. I can honestly say that I will never be the same after all the amazing people I have met and have experienced.

So again, thank you to all the wonderful people out there. You are what makes this job fun and exciting. You  inspire me to do what I do.

Well Max, I think we are seeing just the “tip of the iceberg” when it comes to your quilting talent. It is a privilege to be able to watch your abilities rise to the surface and I know we can expect great things from you. Congratulations on the Halloween quilt! It’s wonderful!

Max, you do have true talent from my point of view. I love, love the Halloween quilt. You have helped me many times with great fabric choices. Rose Ann has gathered a wonderful staff, all so encouraging and supportive, and I am happy to call Quilter’s Emporium MLQS- MY local quilt store.

Max, our dear sweet young man. You are a pleasure to deal with at the shop. We enjoy you as much as you have enjoyed the customers at Quilter’s Emporium. You treat everyone with kindness and helpfulness.
Plus also – loved, loved, loved the Halloween quilt. I love Halloween and this will be great in my house. I will enjoy it for many years to come.

Max, you make me want to shop more at the shop because of all your talents, but don’t tell my husband that! LOL
